Eire Og Senior Football defender Benny Kavanagh says the success with Eire Og reaching a Leinster Final was a decisive factor in announcing his retirement from Inter-County Football.
Speaking to KCLR, Benny says he wants to give a full commitment to the club in an attempt to help them achieve further success.
He said “The success we had this year was kind of one of the decisions that I would of taken into consideration when making my decision stepping away, it’s kind of for longevity for playing club Football and going forward I want to give them 100% of my commitment for the next few years and for whatever length it is I play on”.
“The county you can’t give 100% to Carlow and then give 100% to Eire Og and it’s nearly a 12 month process how it’s gone with the commitment”.
