Nolan’s Turkey were more aggressive in the second half, pressing high and two minutes into injury time we saw high drama.
Cengunz Under squared for Okay on the edge of the Italian box, the timing of Okay’s pass to the retreating Calanhogu just off as he was flagged for offside with the ball in the back of the net at the death.
Italy top Group A with the 2-1 win with Wales and Switzerland set to face off later Saturday. Group B’s opening fixtures are also underway tonight with as Denmark (Caimin Brennan) and Finland (Paul Bergin) meet while European hopefuls Belgium (Billy Hayes) take on Russia (Paul Denieffe).
