Erins Own Castlecomer Senior Hurling Manager Liam Dowling says that early season form from the previous three rounds of the League mean nothing as it’s been a three month break since there was competitive action.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday evening’s game against the Rower Inistioge, Liam says that this time of the year with the Championship just around the corner is the most important time to be hurling well.
He said “Past results don’t really mean much at this time of the year”.
“Again, it’s a long lay-off and getting back to that sort of form might be difficult enough, so we will just have to see what happens. It’s for everybody, a small bit of a lottery, but as everybody knows in Kilkenny, like the time to be hurling is in September”.
