Evergreen C Manager Conor O’Neill says that Evergreen A will in no way underestimate them, after Evergreen C had knocked out competition favorites Freebooters in one of the earlier rounds of the KCLR McCalmont Cup.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s Cup Semi-Final, Conor says that Evergreen A have proven themselves to be on a different level.
“Our A Team are a different animal altogether. As their success over the last couple of years has shown, I think the FAI Cup Final last year and the Leinster Cup Final the year before so I think maybe we were a bit underestimated(by Freebooters).
“I don’t think Gary Maher will do that, Gary knows all the guys and Gary won’t be caught out on the day.
“It will be a tough tough task, but we just go out there and we will have a game plan and we will hopefully stick with them and sneak something, but it will be a tough tough ask for the lads,” he said.
The game is at Derdimus Sunday at 3pm.
