It was a disappointing afternoon for the Carlow hurlers in Netwatch Dr. Cullen Park last Sunday.
They lost out to Kerry on a scoreline of 20 points to Carlow’s 13.
Their manager Tom Mullally is hopeful they can learn from this defeat going into round four.
“Every game is important to us. We have youngsters coming into the panel this year, so they are all important games.”
“The league in itself is important to us. Obviously, between suspensions and injuries, we would like to be picking from a full deck, but that is not to be.”
“I think players are gaining experience and exposure at this level, which is so good for them.”
Carlow received another sending-off in the form of Diarmuid Byrne, however according to Mullally, Sean Murphy and Marty Kavanagh due back for the next games with Kildare and Meath on the horizon the Barrowsiders.
