Excitement Builds for KCLR Carlow Shield Showdown: Parkville United vs. New Oak Boys

All eyes are set on The Meadows Graiguecullen this Sunday at 11:00, where Parkville United is geared up to face off against New Oak Boys in the much-anticipated KCLR Carlow Shield final.

Last year’s KCLR Carlow Shield Final saw a fierce battle between Crettyard and New Oak Boys, culminating in a memorable performance by Cody Mulhall, who netted a hat-trick for New Oak Boys, securing yet another trophy for their cabinet. The stakes are high this year as Parkville United aims to halt New Oak Boys’ dominance and clinch the coveted title.

In the group stages, Parkville United clashed with both New Oak Boys and last year’s finalists Crettyard, emerging victorious in both encounters. Their impressive run continued as they convincingly defeated Killeshin, putting six goals past their ‘keeper to secure a spot in the final.

On the other side, New Oak Boys displayed their prowess in the semi-final against St. Patrick’s, scoring four goals and conceding none. Notably, the two premier division sides already crossed paths in the league, with New Oak Boys securing a 2-0 victory. Currently sitting in fifth place, Parkville United faces a challenging task against the third-placed New Oak Boys.

With both teams showcasing their mettle in the lead-up to the final, fans can expect an intense battle as Parkville United seeks to upset the balance and secure the title against the formidable New Oak Boys.
