A thrilling weekend of football is in store at Netwatch Cullen Park as teams face off in the quarter-finals of both the Talbot Carlow and Michael Lyng Motors Football Championships.

Friday Night: Junior ‘A’ Football Quarter-Finals

The action kicks off on Friday, where the Talbot Carlow Junior ‘A’ Football Championship Quarter-Finals will see two big matchups:

  • 7:00 PM: Asca take on Ballon in what promises to be a fiercely competitive clash as both teams aim to advance.
  • 8:30 PM: O’Hanrahans will meet Fighting Cocks in the second quarter-final of the evening, with both clubs hungry for victory under the lights.

Saturday: Intermediate and Senior Showdowns

Saturday brings another round of high-stakes games, beginning with the Talbot Carlow Intermediate Football Championship:

  • 5:30 PM: St. Patricks will face Naomh Eoin in a battle for a spot in the semi-finals. Both teams are in top form, ensuring a gripping contest.

Following that, attention turns to the Michael Lyng Motors Senior Football Championship:

  • 7:15 PM: Éire Ă“g will go head-to-head with Mount Leinster Rangers. Éire Ă“g, one of Carlow’s football powerhouses, will look to stamp their authority, while Mount Leinster Rangers aim for a surprise result to progress.

Sunday: More Quarter-Final Action

The weekend wraps up on Sunday with two more quarter-final matches:

  • 2:45 PM: Fenagh face Ballinabranna in the Talbot Carlow Intermediate Football Championship, with both teams vying for a coveted semi-final spot.
  • 4:30 PM: The Michael Lyng Motors Senior Football Championship concludes the weekend, as Rathvilly meet Bagenalstown Gaels. Rathvilly will be looking to use their experience to overcome a determined Bagenalstown side.

With a mix of Junior, Intermediate, and Senior football on display, Netwatch Cullen Park will be buzzing with energy across all three days, as teams battle for a place in the semi-finals. Fans can expect fierce competition and top-quality football throughout the weekend.
