Eoin Larkin says the extra-game against Waterford in the All-Ireland Semi-Final replay will greatly help them.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s showdown, Eoin says they were delighted to get the victory against the Deise following a bruising battle.
“Yeah, exactly, it does take a lot out of you but I think the extra game will definetly help us. We probably didn’t get the performance we wanted the first day, but we certainly got it in the replay and we got away with a two-point win”
“I think Waterford were that bit more unlucky the 2nd day because they played fantastically well as well. As a neutral I suppose it was a great game to watch , not great to be involved, the nerves were kind of shattered by the end of it but were delighted to get out with the win and focus on the All-Ireland Final”
Meanwhile the James Stephens man says he would gladly accept a one-point win over Tipperary on Sunday even if it’s a bad game.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s game, Eoin says the two counties bring out the best in each other.
“Yeah it certainly does. We have had great games with Tipperary over the last number of years so I think everybody is expecting another good battle but look we will be happy enough with a one-point win if it’s a bad game, but hopefully the two teams will bring out a performance and it will be a great game to watch”
