FAI CEO John Delaney will be in Kilkenny on 24 May to launch the FAI’s Festival of Football, coming to the county from 16-22 July to showcase the excellent work being done all around the county, to make specific club visits, organise fun days, and to introduce initiatives to help football continue to grow.
This will be the first time that the Festival of Football has visited Kilkenny following previous years in Kerry, Mayo, Monaghan, Wexford, Clare, Donegal, Wicklow, Westmeath, Sligo/Leitrim, and Tipperary.
The week-long Festival of Football, which will include visits from ex-Republic of Ireland internationals, well-known footballing personalities, Sports Direct.com FAI Summer Soccer Schools, FIFA Live Your Goals and FAI Coach Education programmes, as it builds towards the FAI Annual General Meeting on July 22.
Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill is also expected to be in attendance.
