Fascinating ties in store as the draws for the senior, intermediate and junior Carlow hurling championships are made

Carlow Hurling

The draws for the Carlow hurling championships were made over the weekend with plenty of interesting clashes for supporters to look forward to in all three competitions.

Mount Leinster Rangers will begin the defence of their senior crown against Bagenalstown Gaels while last year’s defeated finalists St Mullin’s have a clash with Naomh Bríd to look forward to.

Meanwhile, the highlight of the intermediate fixtures sees Naomh Eoin host Carlow Town.

2022 Carlow Senior Hurling Championship Round 1 draw:

Naomh Eoin v Ballinkillen – Friday 17 June, Netwatch Cullen Park, 7.30pm

Naomh Brid v Naomh Moling – Friday 17 June, Training Centre Fenagh, 7.30pm

Mount Leinster Rangers v Bagenalstown Gaels – Saturday 18 June, Netwatch Cullen Park, 4pm

2022 Carlow Intermediate Hurling Championship Round 1 draw (first team named has home advantage):

Bagenalstown Gaels v Ballinkillen – Saturday 18 June, 6.30pm

Naomh Moling v Mount Leinster Rangers – Saturday 18 June, 7.30pm

Naomh Eoin v Carlow Town – Saturday 18 June, 6.30pm

2022 Carlow Junior Hurling Championship Round 1 draw (first team named has home advantage, all game are at 6.30pm on Saturday 11 June):

Carlow Town v Mount Leinster Rangers

Naomh Moling v Naoimh Eoin

Palatine v Burren Rangers

Naoimh Brid have received a bye.
