During the week I stumbled across a fascinating character who happened to be in my house doing a bit of work.
I was wearing a GAA top and immediately all things Carlow were spoken about in great detail.
I knew that Carlow had a fantastic footballer in the 80’s by the name of Tommy Dwyer despite the fact that I wasn’t even born, but had never met the man.
Low and behold he arrives in my kitchen and many great memories were spoken about in great detail and to say the man is a legend would be an understatement.
I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to interview Tommy and to be fair he sat down and gave me several minutes of his time despite the fact that he is very busy with work.
Many great times were spoken about by the man who played for Ireland against Australia and also won Man of the Match in a Leinster Championship match against Dublin in the late 80’s.
I really enjoyed this interview and experience and you can listen back to it in the link below.
