Kilkenny player Denise Gaule says the way they fought back against Cork in the semi final shows what character they have.
Cork blazed into an early lead before Kilkenny pulled them back and then fought to the final whistle to edge the game to book their place in the final against Galway.
Denise told KCLR that their backs were incredible on the day.
“It was a tough start, it kind of took us time to get to grips with them and we had a few misses as well early on” said Denise.
“To go in a point up at half time was massive but I think the biggest character was shown in the second half to hold onto it (the lead), the backs just played unreal, I don’t know how they held them out but they just did, they played brilliant and I think that showed a lot of character as well”.
We have live commentary of the game here on KCLR on Saturday from 7 o clock with thanks to Topline Phelans and we’ve a special preview programme this Saturday from 5.30pm where we’ll build up to the game. That’s with thanks to Country Style Foods.
