Jon Nolan may be upset with his brother Chris Nolan who hit a late equalizing point for SETU Carlow against Mary immaculate last night in the Fitzgibbon Cup.
There was a strong Kilkenny contingent involved such as James Stephens Cian Kenny`& Bennetsbridge player David Blanchfield. However, it was the Nolan brothers that garnered the interest before the game as the players who represent Mount Leinster Rangers in the Carlow Championship that stood represented opposite sides in the encounter which ended 1-16 apiece.

Two brothers going head to head on the hurling pitch reminds me of Keith and Brian Hogan clashing against each other in the Kilkenny county final 2015. Keith captained Clara on the day while in the White and Green of O’Loughlins, older brother Brian was gunning for his fourth county title. It was Keith who lifted the Tom Walsh Cup on the day in a 1-15 to 2-10 victory on the day. O’Loughlin did not have to wait long though as they managed to capture the trophy in 2015 against O’Loughlins.
