Five Kilkenny camogie players have been named to this year’s CCAO Third Level Camogie All-Star team.
In all, 11 players are represented from the Ashbourne Cup, two from the Purcell Cup and one each from the Fr. Meaghair and Ui Mhaolagain cups.
Among the local selection are Dicksboro duo Ciara O’Shea and Jane Cass, Young Ireland’s sisters Steffi and Tiffi Fitzgerald and James Stephens’ Niamh Deely.
In all, Kilkenny players collect five All-Stars with two each for Dublin, Cork and Tipperary along with one each for Waterford, Cavan, Offaly and Wexford players. Six of the team play with DCU Dóchas Éireann with three representing UCD and one each from UCC, UCC2, TU Dublin, TU Dublin 2 and NUIG.
