Five Piltown girls picked up All Ireland medals yesterday playing with Scoil Mhuire from Carrick-on Suir in the Senior All Ireland Schools A Final.
Emily McCarthy, Lisa Norris, Jennifer O’Dea, Aoife Doyle and Kelly Ann Doyle were on the team that defeated Coláiste Íosagáin by 4-16 to 2-8 in the final at Nowlan Park.
They are the first ever Kilkenny girls to win All-Ireland medals at the highest level possible in Ladies Colleges Gaelic Football.
