Club football is back in Carlow.
Kildavin-Clonegal and Naomh Eoin got to press start on this year’s senior football league with a Division 2 clash in Myshall on Sunday afternoon.
Given the start of the league, support for both clubs, and a county basking in weekend sunshine, it was no surprise to see a sizeable attendance at the game.
In a tight game, Naomh Eoin led by three at the break (0-07 to 0-04) before a Daryl Roberts penalty just after the restart brought the visitors back into the game.
It would remain level-pegging too with a final score of Naomh Eoin 0-11, Kildavin Clonegal 1-08.
