Eight-time All-Ireland winner with Kilkenny Eoin Larkin has joined the Wicklow hurling backroom team as a coach and advisor ahead of the 2021 National League campaign.
The James Stephens clubman was announced late Friday by Wicklow GAA.
“Kilkenny’s Eoin Larkin has joined Eamonn Scallan’s backroom team. Eoin has come on board as coach and adviser for the Wicklow Senior Hurling team. The 8 time All-Ireland winner and two time All-Star brings a wealth of experience to the role. Best of luck for the year ahead Eoin”, said the county board in taking to social media.
Larkin retired from inter-county duty with Kilkenny in 2016 and links up with Eamonn Scallan’s coaching staff ahead of assuming duties in person with Carlow club Ballinkillen.

Wicklow will be without dual-player Stephen ‘Chester’ Kelly this season, having announced his retirement this past week from inter-county hurling and football. Kelly was part of the team who won the Division 4 football league in 2012 and most recently, the Division 2B hurling league in 2019.
Billy Cuddihy has also departed the Wicklow hurling setup.
