Former Kilkenny College Student and current Connacht back-row forward Robin Copeland has made an incredible gesture in an effort to help healthcare workers through the Covid-19 crisis.

Robin posted a message on his twitter account saying that he has three beds in his house in Galway, which he can offer as part-time accommodation.

Can someone tell me if there is any HSE staff in Galway looking for part time accommodation? Near to Galway clinic. I have 3 beds that staff can have, place is fully furnished and clean. @GalwayClinic @HSELive #Frontliners #Covid_19

“Can someone tell me if there is any HSE staff in Galway looking for part time accommodation?” Near to Galway clinic. I have 3 beds that staff can have, place is fully furnished and clean.” he wrote.

The message triggered a hugely positive response, accumulating over 300 retweets and over 2,000 likes at time of publication.

The Wexford native spent four years with Munster where he made 71 appearances and scored 60 points in what was at times an injury-affected period during his sojourn in Thomond Park, before he joined the Westerners in the Summer of 2018.

He has continued to be hampered by injuries since moving to Connacht, but the former Kilkenny College Student had a moment to savour back in December when touching down to score a winning try in their dramatic 27-24 victory over Gloucester that kept their European Cup hopes alive having trailed 24-13 with time running out.
