Former Kilkenny Senior Hurler Richie Power says Limerick will go very close to regaining the Senior All-Ireland despite suffering the loss of 2018 All-Star Richie English to a long-term Cruciate ligament sustained in their League clash victory over Cork the previous weekend.
Speaking to KCLR, Richie says that Limerick have the strength in their disposal to compensate for his absence.
He said “For me, Richie English is one of the best corner-backs in the country if not the best corner-back so it’s a massive blow, but again strength in depth to Limerick’s panel, I think John Kiely will be able to fill the gap”.
“They will certainly be pushing strong, I would have just a strong fancy for Limerick to go a long way this year, that’s not saying they will the All-Ireland, but I do think that the disappointment of last year will be a driving force for them”.
