Former Kilkenny Senior Camogie Player Elaine Aylward feels their is a big performance in Ballyhale Shamrocks similar to last year’s All-Ireland Club Final as they attempt to defend the All-Ireland Club title this afternoon (Sunday) against Borrisileigh.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of today’s (Sunday) game, Elaine says that Shamrocks will gained massively from their All-Ireland Semi-Final victory over Slaughtneil.
She said “People talk about the skill level and everything that they have in Ballyhale, but they have a massive work-rate as well and massive belief to win back ball”.
“Slaughtneil tracked them back for every score the last day, but Ballyhale never faltered and kept pushing right to the end and I suppose Colin’s goal put a little bit of gloss in the scoreline at the end but it was no more than what Ballyhale deserved and they will need to bring all that again on Sunday, but I just think with the calibre of players they have, with the experience of been in Croke Park, Club Finals, look at last year, they saved their best till last up there and they put on an absolute display and I expect them to do similar on Sunday”.
