Former Irish international track and field athlete David Gillick has been praising Carlow Sprinter Marcus Lawler.
The Carlow man is only back from a big hamstring injury but managed to compete in the World University games in Taipei recently and got to the Semi Finals.
David says he’s had a tough year but has done really well to come back from the injury…..
“And he ran well, he did the 100 metres there, he got in to the semi finals, he was a little off his personal best if I’m honest, the main thing is that he got himself back on the horse”
“He recovered well, he did all his rehab and he’s a young fella, I like him, I like what he does, I like his approach to the sport and I wish him all the best and hopefully now he can improve again going into next year.
