Former Tipperary Senior Hurler Lar Corbett has sympathy with Richie Hogan getting sent-off in the All-Ireland Final.
Speaking to KCLR at last week’s Ploughing in Fenagh, Lar says that while it was a harsh sending-off, Tipp were clearly superior.
He said “I felt a little sorry for Richie Hogan, personally I don’t think he deserved to get sent-off, I don’t think it would have changed the result on the day, maybe the scoreline, maybe Tipp wouldn’t have won by as much, but you have when you get chance to play Kilkenny, you have to play your A game, year in year out”.
“They are able to produce it when they need to produce it, they just came up against a very very tough, very strong physical and a well oiled Tipperary machine on the day”.
