It’s the most wonderful time of the year, as the PDC World Darts Championship gets underway tonight at Alexandra Palace.
Star attraction is Gerwyn Price, who will begin the defence of his trophy against the winner of Ritchie Edhouse and Peter Hudson.
Former two-time champion Adrian “Jackpot” Lewis plays Canada’s Matt Campbell. While Ricky Evans goes up against Nitin Kumar.
Carlow’s Steve Lennon is action from 12.45pm on Thursday. Limericks William O’Connor takes on Danny Lauby this Thursday at 7pm.
On Friday Ireland’s Keane Barry takes on Royden Lam in the second game of the Afternoon session. Speaking to scoreline the former world darts youth champion said he has been practicing with Lennon before the tournament;
“Preparations are going really well, I have been practicing with Steve Lennon, he has come up to the house a few times. Its been really good and I am really looking forward to it.”
“Everyone knows Roy’s game, he is massive over in Asia. When I seen that draw, it of course a hard draw, every game is.
“I have done a bit of homework but I need to rely on my own game.”
