On a night when history was made in Irish football with the qualification of Republic of Ireland of the 2023 Women’s World Cup, a draw of a different kind was taking place in Kilkenny City.
The final-four pairings for the 2022 Kilkenny & District League’s Pat Maher Shield was made live on CRKC on Tuesday evening with Freebooters, Goresbridge, River Rangers and St. Canice’s all left in the running.
As drawn, this year’s semi-finals will be
- Bridge United v St. Canice’s
- River Rangers v Freebooters
Both games have been pencilled in for Derdimus Park with Bridge United and St. Canice’s getting proceedings underway from midday while River Rangers and Freebooters will have a 3pm kick-off on Sunday 29 October.
