It is now confirmed that Galway will face Dublin in the Leinster under-20 hurling decider.
The Tribesmen survived a late Kilkenny fightback to win 1-18 to 1-13 in Tullamore.
Speaking after the game to KCLR Scoreline, Galway manager Jeffrey Lynskey felt for Derek Lyng’s Kilkenny and suggested a change to the championship format.
“It’s knockout championship, this is hard”, said Lynskey.
“It’s tough going and hard on the lads. This needs to be changed to a round robin, seriously. At the end of the day for the amount of work, (to get) one match. I know what that is like. It’s really really hard.”
“It’s fine when you win, but you’re guillotined when you lose and there is no point me saying otherwise.”
Dublin got the better of Offaly in Parnell Park in the other semi final, winning on a scoreline of 2-15 to 1-15.
