Like Brian Cody did earlier this evening, Anthony Cunningham is keeping the faith with the Tribesmen and has named an unchanged side to face Kilkenny in Croke Park this Sunday.

A healthy balance of youth and experience has been Galways saviour in the current championship campaign with the feeling on the ground around both camps that Sunday will see an electric 15-on-15 encounter.

Galway’s forward-line will be lead once again by the trio of Jason Flynn (pictured above), Joe Canning and Cathal Mannion but as we had seen in the thrilling semi-final clash with Tipperary, it’s not just the forward-line that Kilkenny will have to keep an eye on.

The last time the sides met in an All-Ireland Final was 2012, having to do battle twice that September and three years on, the likes of Joe Canning, Cyril Donnellan, and Iarla Tannian will be chomping at the bit having been on the losing side  in the replay along with Johnny Coen, Andy Smith and David Burke.

Having beaten Cork and Tipperary with the same starting fifteen and having a strength in depth on the bench, this Sunday’s encounter has most certainly been set up to be a cracker.
