Goffs extend sponsorship of Thyestes Chase at Gowran Park for three years

Ahead of tomorrow’s big race day in Gowran Park, the Goffs Thyestes Chase Day, Goffs have announced that they will continue their sponsorship of the race for another three years.

The race has become known as the race that stops a county and this years edition takes place on 23rd January.

Goffs Group Chief Executive said “Goffs is delighted to continue our association with the iconic Thyestes Chase which is one of the key races in the National Hunt calendar and a superb days racing”.

Gowran Park General Manager Eddie Scally said “We are very pleased that Goffs have continued to sponsor our biggest race. The Goffs brand is renowned in racing and is a perfect fit got our time honoured chase. The Goffs Thyestes Chase is without question the most anticipated race at Gowran Park & Goffs continued support of this is a massive vote of confidence to us all at Gowran Park.”

This years Goffs Thyestes Chase goes to post at 3pm and entries include Acapella Bourgeois, Chef Des Obeaux, Ex Patriot and the early bookies favourite Minella Till Dawn trained by Gordon Elliott.

Gates open at 10.30am with the first race going to post at 12.45pm.
