Kilkenny Rugby Club Head Coach Packie Hennebry is very confident that neighbours Tullow will win Sunday’s Provincial Towns Cup Final.

Tullow contest the blue ribbon event at Athy RFC’s grounds when they face Skerries at 3.30pm. The Dublin side booked their place in final with a good win over defending champions Wicklow at the semi-final stages.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s showdown, Packie says Tullow are the form team in the competition.

“I was down with Martin Cody down in Tullow a couple of weeks ago, just before the semi-final against Ashbourne.”

“He told me they weren’t really confident going into the Ashbourne game because of the high scores they put up and they said that maybe the opposition wasn’t as good as maybe it should have been or whatever, but they weren’t really confident.

“I just told them that Ashbourne were there for the taking. They went on and beat them and they are in a final and on form. The way they are going, I really think that they are going to win it, I am really positive for them.”

We’ll have live commentary and analysis of Tullow and Skerries in the 2017 Provincial Towns Cup Final this Sunday at 3.30pm on air and online at kclrfanzone.com.
