Grace Walsh, three-time All-Ireland champion, has decided to retire from intercounty camogie.

Starting her intercounty journey in 2011, Walsh helped Kilkenny to an All-Ireland triumph in 2016, securing her maiden championship medal. Despite enduring the disappointment of losing finals in both 2017 and 2018, and a significant defeat to Galway in the 2019 final, Walsh and her team bounced back. Kilkenny reclaimed the O’Duffy Cup from Galway in 2020 and once more emerged victorious in 2022, narrowly defeating Cork by a single point to secure the title.

In an emotional message shared on social media, Grace reflected on her career:

“Sin é, but still some incredible memories made with a special group of friends. Up the Cats always.”
