There is a variety of racing at Kilkenny Greyhound Track this evening ranging from novice racing to an Open 725 race.
The Open 725 race is a cracking-looking contest featuring some of the country’s top stayers. Trap 4 Pablo Escobar will be expected to have a serious say in the Glamdog Millionaires syndicate from Kilkenny City.
Also, this weekend, from Friday 31st March until Monday 3rd April, Greyhound Stadia across the country unite to support the Dillon Quirke Foundation. As most people will know, Dillon Quirke passed away suddenly while playing a match in Semple Stadium last year from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome. Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS) claims 100 young lives each year in Ireland and the Dillon Quirke Foundation was created with the aim of raising awareness and setting up a screening program that will screen every player (both male and female) from 12 years of age upwards.
Patrons at Kilkenny Track tonight are encouraged to wear their GAA Jerseys in support of this great cause & Donations to the charity can be made on the night in the Stadium
