Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald is relishing the challenge of facing Kilkenny next weekend
Both counties have started their Allianz Hurling League campaigns with 2 wins from 2 in Group B.
Wexford fought back to beat Clare on a scoreline of 2-19 to 1-21 in Ennis while Kilkenny had a 1-28 to 3-15 win over Antrim at Nowlan Park.
Davy says he knows what to expect at Nowlan Park after a hard-fought win against Clare in Ennis.
“After Clare getting beat last week, you can imagine how far up they were for this so we knew that was going to happen, so to come to Ennis, it is always tough,” said Davy.
“Kilkenny next week, I’d say they’ll throw the kitchen sink at us, we’ve beaten them for the last few years so it’s going to be an interesting battle”.
“We’ll hardly just go down there and throw up the white flag I’d say, we’ll go to give it a lash, it’s going to be an interesting battle” he added.
The sides clash on Sunday next in Nowlan Park with a 2 pm throw-in.
