John Hayes says that Sean O’Brien’s ongoing injury problems are not ideal and won’t make it easier for him to get back as a regular starting member.
Speaking to KCLR, John says that Sean will be a massive loss for the three test series against South Africa which starts tomorrow
“The more times you miss, the more times fellas get in to get their chance, and someone is eventually going to take it and keep it so it’s not ideal from Sean’s point of view. I’m sure he’s looking on now and would love to be on that tour testing himself against the big Springboks where he would be at his best up against those fellas with his power but it’s not to be and he just has to hope about getting ready over the Summer and be ready for the Autumn Internationals, back with Leinster first and then the Autumn Internationals. That’s the way it has to work”.
