Irelands Strongest Man qualifiers are coming to Kilkenny next month

For the very first time Kilkenny will get to see some of Ireland’s best strongmen compete for a chance to qualify for Ireland’s Strongest Man.

Strongman competition has a bit of a history in the medieval city with both James Fennelly and Davy Jones winning titles and crowns in the last decade. So how appropriate that the event will be held in the James former gym and Davy’s current one, Davy Jones Fitness.

The event is slated for July 25th & will be fully outdoors with spectators are more then welcome to attend.

The gym has recently reopened and Davy who won the event last time out, after losing a staggering twelve stone said of the event “It’s in the gym, we have Ulster’s strongest man coming down, and all the other guys coming also. If anyone wants to see what strongman is in person, they are more then welcome”.
