IT Carlow Basketball made history last night in seeing off Neptune to advance to the men’s National League Cup Final.

In a neck-and-neck game, the club finished strong to close out 91-76 winners. Ahead of them in the WIT Arena tonight away Dublin Lions.

“It really doesn’t get much better than this”, said Martin Conroy in a post to the club’s Facebook page after last night’s semi-final.

“Tonight we made history for our Institution and our Club by beating a fantastic team, Neptune BC. Tomorrow we play against another fantastic team, Dublin Lions, in our first ever Men’s National League Cup Final at 3pm in WIT Arena. The game will be Live Streamed and the link will be on the BI Website.”

“I’m so proud of our IT Carlow Family and we’re looking forward to a great game again tomorrow. If you’re at a loose end then Waterford is the place to be tomorrow. We would like to thank our supporters from tonight, you were amazing. Bring it tomorrow, we need you all. ITCANDPROUD.”

A Thrilling Display

A thrilling display of basketball from both sides kept the game neck-in-neck right up until three minutes to play, when free throws from Dan Debosz and Jimmy Gordon put Carlow ahead and they kept momentum to win out strong in the end. Read the full report on Basketball Ireland.

A live stream of the game will be available on BasketballIreland.ie with updates on Saturday Scoreline on air.
