There was some disappointment for IT Carlow’s fresher’s footballers.
They lost out in the Rory O’Connor Electric Ireland Higher Education GAA Freshers Football Division 2 championship final on Monday night.
Trailing Trinity College 2-10 to 1-6 at halftime, the Dublin side proved too strong for Carlow across the second half and finished with 16 points to spare in all.
Tonight it’s the turn of the hurlers, they’re making the long drive to Belfast to take on Queens for a place in the Division 2 final.
Throw-in at The Dub is at 5.30 pm.
Well done to @TCDGAA the deserving Rory O Connor @ElectricIreland @HigherEdGAA Fresher Football Div 2 Champions for 2022.

Hard luck to our guys who came up against a very strong and well trained Trinity college team. They did us proud all year.
