It may be a Paddys weekend like no other for IT Carlow Students as they have two finals to now look forward to.
Rugby
First, in Rugby, the IT Carlow students bested Technological University Dublin, 35 – 15.
They now look forward to the Brendan Johnson Cup Final on March 16th, with the final taking place in the IT Carlow sports ground.
DCU will be standing in the way, hoping to stop IT Carlow from claiming their third Student Sport Ireland / Irish Rugby Football Union Brendan Johnston Cup title.
It marks a fantastic week for Head Coach Johnny Tobin, who also has a final to look forward to with Kilkenny College

Basketball
IT Carlow traveled to the North Conference Winners DKIT in Dundalk yesterday to compete in the NBCC Division 2 semi-final.
It Carlow lead at halftime by ten points, however, come the fourth quarter they were trailing by six points. Conor Gallagher and Nate Shafer leveled the game with Garry Morrissey, Eoin Hackett, and Ben Kelly Flynn.
Captain Ben Kelly Flynn managed to grab 37 of the points for the Carlow side as they ran out winners on a score of 68-75 IT Carlow.
They will now face either UCD or Maynooth University in the final.

IT Carlow have confirmed their last home game of the Men’s National League is booked for this coming Friday night.
They’ll face Limerick Celtics at The Barrow Centre from 8pm.
