Carlow IT Senior Hurling Forward Chris Nolan says that last night’s Division 1 League Final victory over University of Limerick augurs very well for the upcoming Fitzgibbon Cup campaign.
Carlow IT won a high scoring thriller 2-26 to 2-22 after extra-time in Carlow last night, and speaking to KCLR after the game, the Carlow Senior Forward says they have plenty of Inter-County experience within their ranks to be able to take on anybody.
He said “It’s brilliant, if you look over the last couple of years whenever IT Carlow had a good run in the League, we always had a good Fitzgibbon so it’s great preparation, it’s another match next week and you can’t beat playing matches”.
“You just have to look at Kyle Hayes and Jake Morris, just two names – when speaking about the Inter-County experience that UL have – but we have a good few Inter-County hurlers ourselves so we ain’t afraid of anybody.
