Tullow has got themselves promoted back into Division 1A along with winning the Division 1B league title.
They faced off with Kilkenny’s Towns Cup semi-final opponents Cill Dara last weekend and battled to a 46 – 14 victory.
Irish & Leinster legend Sean O’Brien, had a very busy weekend indeed, with being involved on Leinster’s coaching team Friday night for their game with The Stormers, before making his debut for Naas on Saturday. He managed to help his team Saturday to a win over Old Belvo, however, there was no time for celebration with him being on the Tullow sideline this Sunday.
Celebrating, yet remembering Jack’s mother Aisling, and Tom’s mother Mary today. Proud moments. 🎉🏆. pic.twitter.com/CvIlDeOjzf

Chatting with Brendan Hennessy of KCLR Scoreline after the game, and he spoke about the necessity to get the mindset right heading into the crunch game;
“There was pressure going into a game like that. We lose the game, and Wicklow wins their game, they win the league. The expectation was on the lads to put on a performance.”
“We planned really well during the week, we had two really good sessions, we spoke a lot about the mental side of it, and being ready. I think the lads fronted up.”
“It is one of the things ticked for the year.”
