James Stephens Senior Hurling Manager Seamus “Cheddar” Plunkett says that Richie Hogan won’t have any extra motivation and determination to prove himself in tomorrow’s (Saturday) First Round Championship clash despite his sending-off in the All-Ireland Final.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of tomorrow’s clash between James Stephens and Danesfort, Seamus that Richie has long proved himself to be one of the best players in the game.
He said “That’s what makes him a great player. He always has that motivation and determination to play well, that’s what makes him one of the best players in the game so I don’t think it would add anymore to it”.
“He couldn’t reach the standards that he is playing at and that he has been playing at for a number of years if he didn’t have that intrinsically within himself and I expect that we know we are going to have to face that on Saturday as well”.
