Kilkenny manager Brian Cody says it was a case of job done after they beat Laois yesterday to book their place in the National Hurling League Quarter Finals.

3-22 to 1-19 was the final score.

Speaking to KCLR afterwards, Brian says their aim was to win and assure of their spot in the knockout stage.

He said “Everything was to win the game and get into the quarter final, we didn’t want to be depending on other results so the game is over and we won it by whatever we won it by and it was an up and down kind of a game for both teams i’m sure, but the object of the exercise was to win the game”.
