Carlow Town Intermediate Hurling manager Joe Fanning is hoping the success of the footballers within the team will be a good omen when they play Mount Leinster Rangers in Saturday’s Intermediate County Final.
Speaking to KCLR, Joe says they are where they wanted to be at the start of the season.
“Absolutely, yeah, this is where we were looking for to be at the start of the season so yeah we can’t wait for Saturday. Yeah, we got the breaks on the day (in the Semi-Final against Naomh Eoin Myshall) and everything went our way and hopefully the same thing will happen in the final please god.
We have Conor Lawlor won a County medal (with Palatine Senior Footballers) and then we had three lads out with the Eire Og Junior As as well so they were lucky so hopefully that’s a good omen for us”
