Will it be a history-making three in a row for Limerick at the final whistle in Croke Park this Sunday?
That is the burning question done Shannonside, as John Kiely prepares his men for a clash of the ages against a hungry pack of cats. We heard from Brian Cody on Scoreline at the weekend where he outlined Kilkenny’s preparations ahead of his 17th All Ireland final. He along with with the rest of the Marble City may be privately confident of their chances despite being perceived as underdogs.
Limerick are coming off back-to-back absolute battles against Clare in the Munster final and Galway in the All Ireland semi final. Getting the mind and body right after such tussles would no doubt be paramount for Kiely and the backroom team. The Galbally man was speaking ahead of the clash and talked up his sides familiarity with being in this position.
“We have a great team of people around us, the county board and management group. We have people that are very experienced and know the job that needs to be done.”
“Ultimately at the end of the day, it is all about the players. Preparation for the game, getting your physical preparations right, your tactical preparations right, and mental preparations right.”
“Those are the key areas and everything else does not really matter.”
Who do you think will be All Ireland Champions at the final whistle in Croke Park this Sunday?
