The Carlow Kennedy Cup squad were celebrating a Bowl quarter-final victory on Wednesday night as they got the better of Roscommon in a tough contest.

Two goals were enough to seal safe passage to the final four of the competition as they held on for a memorable 2-1 win.

They will now take on NDSL on Thursday at 12.30pm in their semi-final clash.

The Barrowsiders will be hoping to learn from Kilkenny’s mistakes against the same opposition in yesterday’s quarter-final after they suffered a 2-0 defeat.

The loss spells the end of their run in the competition after several good performances throughout the week.
