There’s bound to be a scare this weekend for some teams in hurling and football action as we hit the real business end of the local championships.
If there is, at least we’ll be there to make sure it’s covered as we bring you seven live games in full this weekend plus reports from others happening around the grounds.
On Saturday there are two finals and two semi-finals up for decision in Kilkenny and Carlow.
We begin our coverage in Clara on Saturday for the senior hurling relegation final between Rower Inistioge and Erin’s Own of Castlecomer and throughout that game we’ll be going live to UPMC Nowlan Park to keep an eye on what’s happening between Tullogher Rosbercon and James Stephens in their junior semi-final.
At 3.15pm on Saturday, we’re all hands on deck in UPMC Nowlan Park for the south derby between Slieverue and Mooncoin in the second junior hurling semi-final of the day.
Our live games on Saturday wrap up in Netwatch Cullen Park for a 6pm throw-in time between Éire Óg and Naomh Eoin in the Carlow intermediate football championship final.
We’ll be out early on Sunday as it’s a 12.15pm throw-in for the first of the Kilkenny intermediate hurling semi-final fixtures of the day as Fenians and St. Lachtains get to renew acquaintances before Thomastown and Glenmore meet at 2.15pm, both games in UPMC Nowlan Park.
On our Carlow frequency at 2.30pm you’ll be able to catch Bagenalstown Gaels and Tinryland’s senior football quarter-final in full and we’ll wrap up Sunday’s coverage with the meeting of Palatine and Mount Leinster Rangers at 4.15pm, both of those fixtures in Netwatch Cullen Park.
