Mount Leinster Rangers selector Kieran Lucas says their tough Semi-Final clashes against Erins Own of Bagenalstown offered them the perfect preparation ahead of Sunday’s County Senior Final against St. Mullins.
Speaking to KCLR, Kieran says their Semi-Final games will serve them better than any training sessions.
“Well, there is nothing like a good test and the harder it is the better it is and I think it prepares lads for the final and certainly the last two weeks have been very tough, very tough for our players and it’s very good preparation, a game like that is better than three nights in the field.
We were delighted with it and also delighted with the win. I suppose when you get down to this end of the Championship, then you have to win. There is no safety net and so yeah we are delighted”
