Kildare manager Joe Quaid says too much has been spoken about bringing in new players

A selection of hurls.

Kildare Senior hurling manager Joe Quaid says they have lost a lot of their squad despite bringing in players from other counties.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s National League clash to Carlow, Joe says too much has been spoken about bringing outside players and it is something that happens in a lot of counties….

“Yeah, well look, we have lost a lot as well. There is a lot been spoken about it and to be honest I am sick to the teeth of it”

“We did bring in outside, but I think the problem it’s causing for everyone else is the quality that we brought in”

“The two Kennys are gone from Kildare down to Tipperary, but there was no one giving out that they were gone to Tipperary”

“Dublin I suppose have brought in outside players for years, never been a word about it. Kerry won the Christy Ring a couple of years ago with outside players so if we haven’t of won any of our first two matches,  I don’t think anyone in the country would be talking about it”

We’ll have live commentary of the game on KCLR with thanks to Reas Department Store Bagenalstown.
