It was heartbreak on Saturday for Evergreen after they travelled to Dublin to take on Kilbarrick United in the LFA Cup semi final.
An early goal by Andrew Wall was not enough for the Kilkenny side as kilbarrick scored three goals in the 15 minutes before half timeIt ended 5-2 to Kilbarrick.
New Oak Boys of Carlow traveled to Wexford to play North End United in the other semi final. This game was alot closer, ending full time 1 all after an early Dean Kelly goal. However a minute before the end of Extra time the Wexford side snatched the victory and confirmed their place in the final to face Kilbarrick.
The draw for the semi final of the KCLR McCalmont cup was made on Scoreline Saturday and the final four have finally been confirmed after Freebooters bested the division two champions St. Canices yesterday in the Waterbarracks.
A Paddy Cahill penalty and Zak Hammond goal allowed the premier division side to progress to the next round where they will face Evergreen in a McCalmont Cup double header next Sunday
Castlewarren and Thomastown will contest the first fixture of the day at 12 oclock while the city rivals kick off at 3.45 in derdimus.
