There is another busy weekend of rugby to look forward to on the local front.

Following victories for Kilkenny and Tullow against Bective and Mullingar respectively in their last outings, both sides men’s teams have a well-earned break from action.

However, Carlow do take to the field on Sunday as they host Athy in their rearranged Division 1B clash.

That tie begins at 3pm on Sunday in Oak Park.

Kilkenny Rugby Club’s women’s side will be starting life in Division 4 of the Leinster League this Sunday.

Having taken a few years out of fielding a competitive team, Kilkenny went on to take the Division 5 cup and promotion last season with Rosie Miller set to captain the side fo the new sesaon.

Garda provide the opposition this weekend with kick-off at Foulkstown down for 1pm.

The Tullow’s women’s team also begin their Leinster League season.

The Division 1 outfit travel to the capital to take on DCU at 1pm on Sunday.
