Kilkenny Bord Na Nog Chairman John Byrne says the 5-week gap isn’t a concern before their All-Ireland Minor Semi-Final clash on Sunday 6th August.
Speaking to KCLR after Kilkenny’s Leinster Minor Final victory on Sunday against Dublin, John says the club activity will keep the players occupied and that Adrian Mullen is one of the great Minor talents….
“Ah yeah, absolutely, he is definitely one for the future”
“He’s a super hurler, he would be I’d say he would have to be up there with the best of them at this stage yeah”
“Ted Drea is a big loss to us at full-forward with his collarbone and hopefully Ted will get a chance to get back in there now again”
“Ah no, it will give us a chance to get some of our club games played and the boys will get back with their clubs so they will still be hurling. Because of the Under-17 and Under-18 this year, we didn’t get to do any hurling at club level so we will get a couple of rounds in anyway”
