Kilkenny are coming home and when they do, it’s with not one but two All-Ireland Camogie titles.

As announced on KCLR last week, there is a civic reception planned for the teams – win or lose – at the Courthouse on Parliament Street. With two titles making their way back Noreside, celebrations will be huge.

The homecoming for the Kilkenny Senior and Intermediate Camogie Teams will take place on Monday, 12th September at Kilkenny Courthouse, Kilkenny.

Kilkenny County Council are inviting people to attend the Homecoming where you can enjoy music and entertainment from 6.00pm.

The team will travel by open top bus from MacDonagh Train Station at 6.30pm. down John Street, over John’s Bridge, up Rose Inn Street, up High Street to arrive at the courthouse.

It is anticipated that the team will be introduced on to the balcony of the courthouse at approximately 7.00 p.m. Entertainment will include a replay of the match on a large screen together with live music.

The proceedings will close before 8.00 p.m.

Kilkenny County Council, Kilkenny Camogie Board and An Garda Síochána would appreciate if those attending arrived early and followed the directions of the Stewards.

Parliament Street will close to traffic from Junction at Dean Street/Irishtown to Junction at Bateman Quay/High Street on Monday 12 September from 5.45 pm to 8.00pm for the Homecoming of Kilkenny camogie teams.

We’ll be broadcasting live from the homecoming on The Way It Is, Monday evening from 6pm.
